Founder
Stacy Perez is the founder of Stacy Perez Legal, P.A., where she focuses her practice on family law matters throughout the Tampa Bay area. Since opening her firm in 2018, she has represented individuals and families in a wide range of cases, including divorce, custody, paternity, support, and dependency proceedings. Stacy is known for her practical approach, strong advocacy, and commitment to guiding clients through what are often some of the most challenging times in their lives.
Stacy earned her law degree from Stetson University College of Law in 2009, where she served as a Certified Legal Intern with the Office of the State Attorney in Clearwater, gaining valuable courtroom experience early in her career. She went on to work with the Office of the Attorney General and the Sixth Circuit Guardian Ad Litem Program, where she advocated on behalf of abused and neglected children involved in the dependency system. These experiences continue to inform her thoughtful and client-focused approach to family law.
A Tampa native, Stacy remains actively involved in her local and professional communities. She is a member of Business Networking International (BNI) and Women in Sports and Entertainment (WISE). Outside of her legal practice, Stacy has a strong interest in fantasy football and sports media, and she enjoys cheering on the Atlanta Braves and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Maddux serves as the firm’s Chief Officer of Joy, a role he takes very seriously—despite having no formal legal training and a strong preference for naps over billable hours. As the office’s resident morale booster, Maddux ensures that every day includes a healthy balance of productivity, perspective, and the occasional well-timed tail wag. He greets clients (and staff) with enthusiasm, offers silent support during long days, and has an uncanny ability to lighten even the most stressful moments with his presence alone.
When he’s not overseeing office vibes, Maddux can be found making his rounds for treats, supervising meetings from a comfortable spot nearby, or reminding everyone to take a break and step outside. His leadership style is simple but effective: show up, be kind, and don’t take life too seriously. While he may not appear in court filings, his impact on the firm’s culture is undeniable—bringing a sense of warmth, approachability, and joy to everything we do.
